About Us
The Harriman Building is governed by the Maddock Opera House Association (MOHA), a North Dakota non-profit corporation. The Association is owned by its 160+ members who have contributed their time, funds and labor. The Association is governed by a Board of Directors elected by the membership. Today, the Harriman Building is home to numerous tenants and has become a special gathering place, drawing people from near and far.
OUR MISSION
The Maddock Opera House Association (MOHA) is a nonprofit organization and exists to be:
• A center to represent the rich history and culture of the local community.
• A facility for performances, meetings, reunions, and other special events.
• A fun, safe gathering place for entertainment, fine dining, and spirits.
• A platform for economic stimulus and growth for our local economy.
HISTORY OF THE HARRIMAN BUILDING
The Harriman Building, constructed in 1905, is located on Main Street in Maddock, ND.
It was originally a mercantile store owned and operated by L.W. Harriman. The 2nd floor was known as the Maddock Opera House.
